A Wanderer’s Dreams: My Ultimate Travel Bucket List!

Hey fellow travellers!

We all have our own travel moods, right? Sometimes, we’re all about that beach life—white sands, Mai Tais, and a good book. Other times, our inner Indiana Jones craves a thrilling safari or a road trip with jaw-dropping landscapes. And who could resist the allure of immersing ourselves in a totally new culture? It’s like we’re always on the hunt for new adventures, whether they’re comfortably familiar or excitingly different.

After trotting around the globe a bit (and loving every second of it), I’ve put together a bucket list of dream vacations for future excursions. I might not have all the details ironed out just yet (like when I’ll go, who’s coming with, and where exactly I’ll be), but hey, a bucket list is like a compass—it gives you a direction. If opportunity knocks earlier than planned, I’m the type to throw caution to the wind and embrace the spontaneity. After all, dreaming and planning are half the fun of travel, right?

So, let me share my bucket list with you, complete with some juicy details about why these places are a must-visit. Hopefully, it’ll give you a nudge to start crafting your own!

  1. Bora Bora (French Polynesia): Ever been torn between a beach vacay and a mountain retreat? In Bora Bora, you get both! Picture turquoise lagoons brimming with vibrant marine life, ringed by lush mountains. Paradise, right?

2. New Zealand: This isn’t just Middle Earth—it’s a land of picturesque landscapes, amazing rivers and lakes, even active volcanoes! Whether you’re into adrenaline-pumping bungee jumping, peaceful fishing, or a road trip that’ll make your Instagram followers green with envy, New Zealand’s got you covered.

    3. Kenya: If you’ve ever dreamed of going on a wildlife safari, make Masai Mara your go-to. Imagine lions, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests, living freely in their natural habitat. Plus, staying in a luxury tent in the heart of East Africa? Talk about a unique experience!

      4. Costa Rica: I almost visited this Central American gem during my studies in the USA, but fate had other plans. Rainforests, volcanoes, national parks, beautiful beaches—Costa Rica has it all, and more. Plus, it’s a paradise for foodies and coffee lovers!

        5. Mongolia: Tucked away between China and Russia, Mongolia is an intriguing mix of vast plains and deserts, extreme climates, and nomadic culture. It may be a bit challenging to visit, but hey, who doesn’t love a good adventure?

When choosing a vacation spot, I have two golden rules: see local and stay unique. I love to dive into the local culture—food, drinks, art, nature, you name it. And I always try to find experiences that aren’t curated just for tourists. Even if it means visiting during the off-peak season or braving not-so-perfect weather, the memories are always worth it!
